About Me
I am a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor's degree in Art and Environment and Natural Resources. My main medium is drawing, though I also work with painting, ceramics, and photography.
As a lifelong student of both art and science, I am interested in finding intersections between the two fields. In my current body of work, I look at geological and paleontological specimens and compose them in visually interesting formats to bring the resulting drawings closer towards the realm of artistic abstraction. The fossil drawings also tend to take on a romantic tone through the warm ink tones I set them against. My aim with this work is to find a balance between scientific illustration and artistic representation and ultimately help people to view and engage with the specimens in new ways.
